Web Design Packages: Economy Web Sites
If you are working with a tight budget, one of our economy web site packages is just what you'll need. The Economy Standard provides you with a custom designed logo and a 17 page web site. The Economy E-Commerce Special adds the QuiltProfessionals Shopping Cart. All Economy web sites use the Quilt Professionals Content Management System. Alternatively, if you think you may be interested in a Custom designed web site, please look through our custom web design packages.
- We will develop a personalized, unique design for your logo area to be used throughout your site. You will need to provide us with two high quality photos to work with and tell us the colors you'd like used for your site.
- Your site will use one of our time-tested web designs. (See a sample of a home page). You will be able to easily make changes to the text and photos on all of your web pages from a password-protected part of your site.
- We will set up your home page for you. You provide us with the text and photos you want to use.
- 16 additional web pages including: About Us, Gallery, Contact Us, Links, Frequently Asked Question, Products, 5 information pages that display text and graphics, 5 pages for displaying lists (e.g. your shedule, a list of classes). Each page will use your logo and the basic design established on your home page. You will add the text and photos to these pages from the password-protected part of your web site.
- Links for your customers to send you an email from each page.
- Copy of your database provided to you
- Installation of your web
site on our recommended web host.
- Add on features are available to
customize your web site: Newsletter that appears on your site and can be emailed out from your web site ($499) Class Listing allowing your customers to search by

Basics

Every piece of fabric can be simultaneously categorized up to
ten different ways. Makes it very easy for customers to find the
fabrics they want.
- Easily add and update products
on a secure page on your web site. (To
add pictures of the products you will need a scanner or digital
camera and FTP or other software allowing you to upload the graphics to your
web site.)
- Whenever an order is placed,
both you and the customer receive an email confirmation.
- View orders right on your web
site. Print orders out on your printer.
- Easily change shipping and sales
tax charges right on your web site.
- Includes installation of the
shopping cart on your web site on our recommended web host. (Please review what
you'll need, below.)

- Microsoft Access database. (You
own the database that contains your product catalog. This is

What
you'll need for your e-commerce web site:
Your shopping cart and store will need some
basic supports in order to operate properly. We will be happy to
help you understand and obtain the necessary supports. Please see our
Quilter's
Guide to Placing Your Business on the Web for additional help in understanding
these requirements.
- Domain name: You will need to obtain your own
domain name for your website (e.g. www.yoursite.com).
- Compatible web host: Your web host must use a Windows
server and provide support for Active
Server Pages, ASP.Net and an Access database, including an ODBC connection
to the database. Many hosts provide these functions at low monthly
rates. Our shopping cart is compatible with most web hosts
offering these functions. However, we will have to charge a setup
fee and a fee for technical support if you choose not to use our recommended web host. Please use our recommended
web host to avoid these fees.
- SSL certificate (optional):
If you plan to take credit card
information online (rather than calling the customer for the credit
card number), you will need to obtain a security
(SSL) certificate. Our recommended web host will allow you to use one of their shared certificates at no cost to you.
- Compatible payment
gateway/processor (optional): If you want to process
credit cards online (rather than in your bricks and mortar
store), you must acquire the services of either 1) a third
party payment processor or 2) a payment
gateway and an internet
merchant account. The Quilt Professionals shopping cart is compatible with PayPal, Authorize.net and Skipjack.com. We charge a setup fee to connect to Authorize.net or Skipjack.com, but the connection to PayPal comes free with the cart.
